#FARMBILLFRIDAY: Rep. Rick Allen (GA-12)

In this week's #FarmBillFriday, Rep. Rick Allen (GA-12) visits with Georgia farmer R.T. Stanley on what improvements need to be made in the upcoming farm bill.

“We’ve obviously got to do something about cotton…and commodity prices are too low.”

Rep. Allen and Mr. Stanley said [in part]:

Rep. Allen: I am talking to all of our farmers in the 12th District of Georgia to get feedback on the new farm bill. This is my dear friend R.T. Stanley. As far as the Farm Bill goes, obviously we’ve got to something about cotton...and then obviously commodity prices are too low.

Mr. Stanley: Where we have problems is [crops] are being sold below our cost of production and we can't stay in business if we can't make a profit.
