Washington, D.C. - House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member K. Michael Conaway (TX-11) released the following statement after voting against the latest multi-trillion dollar Democrat wish list:

“Yet again, Democrats refuse to come to the negotiating table on COVID-19 response legislation. The latest $2.2 trillion socialist spending spree includes funding for every liberal request under the sun, but doesn’t make the simple legislative fix to allow hardworking small business owners to access leftover Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) funds that are currently sitting untouched. I’m no longer surprised by their antics and misplaced priorities, but it sure is discouraging to watch this charade carry on while the American people suffer.”
