Description
H.R. 845, the National Forest System Trails Stewardship Act, would improve the state of Forest Service resources without more taxpayer dollars by utilizing volunteers to improve forest service trail maintenance.

On February 27, 2015 it was referred to the Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry. Then, on March 16, 2015 it was also referred to the Subcommittee on Federal Lands. Passed the House Agriculture Committee (voice vote) on September 14, 2016. Passed the House floor (voice vote) on September 26, 2016. Passed the Senate by Unanimous Consent on November 16, 2016. Became Public Law on November 28, 2016.
