COMBEST CRITICIZES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOR DISASTER RELIEF DELAYS
"It's been over four months since we gave the Secretary of Agriculture near-complete authority to administer the six billion dollar farm disaster program. To date the vast majority of farmers haven't even been signed up to receive relief. I don't know what's going on down at the Department, but I do know that our farmers can't wait forever for this money, and they shouldn't have to. We gave Secretary Glickman an unprecedented amount of authority over this program and we haven't seen it implemented. He's got to act before it's too late." ### |
