In this week's #FarmBillFriday, Rep. Kevin Cramer (ND-At Large) shares his support for a strong farm bill and the work done by the House Agriculture Committee to deliver a bill in 2018.

"I want to encourage the committee to keep up the good work, and I look forward to helping them next year as they create a good farm bill."

Rep. Cramer said [in part]:

Here in my state, agriculture is king, and I am encouraged by the good work of Chairman Conaway and his Agriculture Committee. You know they got a running start on next year’s farm bill by having a series of listening sessions around the country this past summer, and I was pleased to be able to be a part of what thousands of people had their input.

This fall, they’ve been drafting bill text, they’ve been having hearings, and preparing for next year’s debate. I want to encourage the committee to keep up the good work, and I look forward to helping them next year as they create a good farm bill that has at it's foundation a safety net built on the crop insurance program. We can fix a few things on the finance side for sure, but all in all the committee’s done their work, are prepared for a good year, and I am looking forward to a good bill. Keep up the good work Chairman Conaway and committee.
