#FARMBILLFRIDAY: Rep. Austin Scott (GA-8) Feat. Zippy Duvall, President AFBF

In this week's #FarmBillFriday, Rep. Austin Scott (GA-8) is joined by Zippy Duvall, President of the American Farm Bureau Federation, where they discuss the need to maintain a strong farm bill and key areas of interest to Georgia farmers.

"We look forward to working with Zippy and all of the farmers and agribusinesses throughout the United States to try to make sure that we get [the farm bill] right for America."

Rep. Scott and Mr. Duvall said [in part]:
Scott: Hi, I’m Austin Scott with Georgia’s eighth Congressional District, the heart of the farm belt in Georgia. I’m here with my good friend Zippy Duvall, third generation farmer and head of American Farm Bureau. Zippy, tell us what Farm Bureau is up to.

Duvall: Well we did a lot of work last year to make sure we found out what was a little weak in the 2014 Farm Bill, and we moved our recommendations up to y’all and we appreciate y’all listening to us.

Scott: Glad to. We had a good fix for cotton and for dairy, and as we go forward we’ll be writing the next Farm Bill in the next few weeks we look forward to working with Zippy and all of the farmers and agribusinesses throughout the United States to try to make sure that we get this thing right for America.
