#FARMBILLFRIDAY: Rep. Phil Roe (TN-1)

In this week's #FarmBillFriday, Rep. Phil Roe (TN-1) underscores the importance of getting the 2018 Farm Bill passed on time and calls on members of the House to support this important piece of legislation that benefits the entire agriculture community and consumers.


"... our farming and agriculture community needs our support right now and we do not need games played with the farm community."


Rep. Roe said [in part]:
We are the best in the world in what we do in farming, our exports. But our farm community is in trouble right now. Commodity prices are down, our dairy farmers in my district have just had a terrible year, so I would encourage all of my colleagues to support the farm bill.

Look, there is no perfect bill out there but our farming and agriculture community needs our support right now and we do not need games played with the farm community. I am proud to be a supporter of this bill and look forward to its passage in the very near future.
